The first report is entitled, ‘Adaptation to climate change in water, sanitation and hygiene – assessing risks, appraising options in Africa’.

It presents the findings of research into the risks to delivery of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) results posed by climate change in Africa, drawing on rapid case study reviews of WASH programming in Malawi, Sierra Leone and Tanzania.

 

The second report is entitled, ‘The economics of climate change adaptation in Africa’s water sector: a review and a way forward’.

It reviews adaptation cost estimates and methodologies for the water sector in Africa, including discussion on the cascade of climatic and socio-economic uncertainties and assumptions that underlie the planning of context-specific adaptation responses.
