The TIGER Steering Committee is glad to invite you to attend the TIGER Workshop 2011, which will be held on 12-13 December 2011 at the premises of the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), Hartebeeshoek, North West Province, South Africa.

 

The Workshop aims at highlighting the status of the initiative almost 3 years after the beginning of its second phase, and it is organised around invited speeches by donors and stakeholders and selected contributions presented by the on-going TIGER-2 projects.

The event will offer an opportunity to:

Analyse the potential use of EO technology in the African water sector from high level contributions from key African stakeholders,

Review the latest findings and results from the TIGER activities and its projects,

Discuss on the next steps and future evolution of the initiative.

The language of the training course is English.

The event is organised by the TIGER Capacity Building Facility / Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, University of Twente (ITC) in coordination with the Water Research Commission (WRC), South African National Space Agency (SANSA) and Department of Water Affairs (DWA).
