The Society for International Development-Washington D.C. Chapter (SID-Washington) is pleased to announce its 2012 annual conference titled “The Future of Development, Challenges Ahead” to be held on June 5, 2012.

Organizers anticipate a broad-based audience of over 600 people from nongovernmental organizations, development consulting firms, government agencies, multilateral institutions and universities actively engaged in the field of international development.

This year’s theme includes topics such as “The Private Sector’s Impact on Development Policies and Approaches” and “The Politics of Food: Famine and Food Aid.”
