We are excited to invite original and review studies in the Session Water Security Frameworks, Assessment Tools and Applied Systems European Geosciences Union (EGU), 3-8 May 2020, Vienna, Austria The EGU annual assembly is considered as the Europe’s premier event with more than 15,000 participants, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the Earth, planetary, and space sciences for the benefit of humanity, worldwide. Our Session welcome studies with focus on inter-disciplinary conceptualization of water security by including different dimensions like hydrological, socio-economic, environmental parameters among others. We also welcome studies on the interpretation of water security into risk management assessments and development of early warning and forecasting systems. The Call for Abstracts is already open with Deadline on 15 January 2020, 13:00 CET. Authors will have the option to submit a full paper for a Special Issue on ‘’Water risks, security and resilience’’ in the Hydrology Research journal, published from IWA, that will be issued by October 2020. We are looking forward to receiving your contributions!
