EUROCLIMA: Science and policy jointly fighting climate change in Latin America (Part I:Biophysics)

EUROCLIMA is a joint Latin America-EU environmental programme with a specific focus on climate change. This event will present the programme’s biophysical component. This aims to generate tools and make available studies to help establish the foundations for analysing the impact of climate change on natural resources in Latin America, especially in the fields of soils, water, bio-energy, drought and desertification and food security.

The second part of this event will present the socio-economic component of EUROCLIMA, implemented by UN-ECLAC (Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean). This component aims at improving knowledge and facilitating information-sharing on socio-economic aspects of climate change in Latin America.
