Consultative workhop on establishing the Southern Africa Water Sciences and technology Network

The NEPAD Office of Sciences and technology ,with the support of teh Water Research Commission (WRC) and the Institute ofRresearch and Developement (IRD), has over the past four years been coordiniating a process of lauching the African Network of Centres of excellences in Water sciences and Technology in relation with the AMCOST.

The plan is  with the Southern Africa region, where the institutions that submitted profiles for conisderation, representatives from Sciences and Technology  ministries of these countries, SADC secretariat  and the AUC-HRST to meet to decide on the nature of the network, its governance structure and programmatic activities.
