The meeting of the Coordination Group of the EU Water Initiative was held in Brussels on 23 January 2013.
Following on the Multi-stakeholder Forum last August during World Water Week in Stockholm, which has celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the launch of EUWI, and highlighted the key achievements within the different regional and thematic components, we would like to exchange information and discuss the way forward for the different components and Working Groups.
Around half an hour will be given to each component to present the main outcomes of 2012 activities, and the expected work programme for 2013. Further on, each component should present its challenges and opportunities to continue to develop activities in the future, building on its strengths and achievements.
A feedback will also be given on communication activities in relation with the Stockholm 10th Anniversary meeting, followed by an exchange of suggestions for further communication and advocacy work, as well as for the preparation of EUWI meetings during World Water Week 2013 (which will be focusing on water cooperation/building partnerships).
