NEPAD SANWATCE Meeting with Prof. Cloete

General Update :

·         EC : ERWAT financial support to the University and potential Shell money for research on fracking in the Karoo

·         NE to ask Christopher for office space in the Wilcocks Building

·         NE to inform UCT Interdesign that NEPAD SANWATCE principally supports their idea but that we will not write a letter of endorsement as it lies outside out scope

·         NE to finalize the Business Plan and send it to EC

 

Approval of Transactions:

·         DM will be allowed to approve payments

·         EC continues to sign off on payments

·         NE can give the preliminary ‘go ahead’

 

NEPAD SANWATCE’s role:

·         Independent from the Water Institute

 

Communication with EC:

·         Through Inga-Rae Scholtz (IS) – irhode@sun.ac.za

·         Regular meetings on Fridays (after the lab meetings)

·         NH to contact IS for meeting details

·         NE to prepare update for EC on deliverables and outstanding tasks

 

Italy Conference:

·         EC proposed Ngabu Gule to present the outstanding third topic

 

 

 

Non-NEPAD related:

·         EC will cover the costs for the Music Conservatorium for the Third Young Water Professionals Conference, July 2013
