Nexus thinking is a new way of thinking that recognises the crucial interdependence of water, energy and food -- a relationship that forms the core of the Environment Nexus project. This new IIEA video explores the deep interconnections between the three essential resources and highlights the need for nexus thinking to help meet the world's needs, as it grows from 7 to 9 billion by 2050.

The overall objective of the project is to support Cuba’s adaptation to climate change by improving the country's long-term food security, and so contributing to the country's sustainable economic and social development. To this aim, the project will include:

* The identification and alleviation of climate change impacts, which affect major national food production and agricultural systems.

* The promotion of good/best practices and provision of useful and accessible information which eventually help farmers produce food in a sustainable manner.
