The Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission together with DEVCO's support are organising an International Workshop on "Exchange of experiences in water resources management between Europe/China/Africa/Latin America".

This event is organised in the framework of the European Commission (EC) support project to the Africa Union/NEPAD Networks of Water Centres of Excellence implemented by the JRC.

The Latin American and Caribbean Environmental Economics Program (LACEEP) is organizing its VI Environmental and Resource Economics Training Course, titled “Water and Climate Change” which will be carried out at CATIE’s headquarters in Turrialba, Costa Rica from July 23 to August 3, 2012.


The course will examine the economics of climate change impacts and adaption with respect to a variety of water resources planning and policy issues, including the following:


1. Water resources infrastructure investment decisions;

Dal 28 maggio al 15 giugno apre a Bologna il Summer Training Programme del Progetto Europeo “Energizing Development” che ha per tema centrale l’accesso alle energie rinnovabili e sostenibili come elemento fondante per promuovere lo sviluppo e riequilibrare le disuguaglianze globali.

The African and Latin American Centres of Excellence were presented at the 6th  World Water Forum in Marseille 13th March 2012.

The new version of the Water Project Toolkit and new features of the AQUAKNOW system were also presented.
